Wow that's a huge message ! I'm not used to this, because normally people don't really talk about this kind of stuff (which I think is really sad). They're just like : I don't want to talk about this, it's not funny and boring ! It's too serious for me ! ... Our generation is doing something that I call : being an ostrich. Because like ostrich, when they are scared or when they don't want to face reality (ostrichs put their head into the sand), they are trying to leave or acting like it's normal.
Back on what you said, I want to say that I was more into the "relationship" thing. Because making friends is easier I think (and I'm glad that you were able to make a friend this way). I mean, finding love is basically finding friendship + something else (don't really know what it is... attraction maybe ? when you're heart is beating really fast, this kind of things...). And it's easier to share physical effects and affinity with physical presence, right ? Whatever, I do agree on the fact that it may be possible, but in my opinion you have a high percentage to be disappointed. So is it worth to try ? :P Because like you said, some people are creating stories about something that don't even exist. Personally, I think that I could be this type of person (too much romantic sometimes), so I don't want to try :D
Also, we have to think about "exotism". Some people just like strangers because they have a different culture. Which is totally stupid I think. But everyone is different so... In my case, I prefer french girls in general, so I don't even need to try outside of my country :D
Maybe boys in Korea loves Taylor Swift ? I know that we have different standards. Yeah American pop is like KPop : making money is our life ! We don't care about music ! (actually I hate majors in Korea, that want to make young people "idols")

To be honest if people are generalizing you as a hater (me as well sometimes xD) its probably because in our society if everybody likes someone, then you have to do the same even if you don't like this person (or in this case, her music).
