I first started looking for penpals, preferably female, back in the summer of 1999 on the basis that since all the chicks I liked round here were already getting nobbed by other people, I suppose I'll just have to look further afield... start off as friends, and see what happens after that.... I'm still waiting to "see what happens after that", and those I've met in this time I've started having as much luck with as the offline ones that drove me to looking online in the first place.... and had enough of them accusing me of giving them "guilt trips" for them having made me feel like c***, and their own b****y fault.

Right.... now, it's perfectly obvious from the rest of the blurb on this profile how old I am + where I'm from*... and other parts what I'm interested in, etc.

*about 15mins bus ride from the located used for "Hogsme​ad station"​ in the Harry Potter movies, not that I'm a fan.

After all the kicks in the teeth I've had, it's not often when I look through adverts such as these and find someone I "click"​ with... like feel like we were mean't to write each other (or whatever).

Guess I'm looking for: Female, 16/18(ish) - 36/37(ish), as I get on with them best... but can be younger / older (I'm at least good for sparing you a fortune in bills from the shrink, and helping ya find stuff online ya need for homework). Perhaps meet up someday

Also helps if you DON'T come across as an African scammer as I'm getting p****d off at dealing with their junk messages (seems to be only sort I get saying Hi to me online any more), or come from any of the countries that cause me to have to spend 2hrs or more some days copy & pasting dodgy e-mails for reporting via Spamcop.net - if you are thinking of trying to scam me, please bare in mind that I'm totally skint, regularly visit 419eater.com​ + particularly​ bad attempts get reported directly to the FBI tips website or spam@uce.go​v

Also I'm not particularly​ fond of nurses because the one in charge of my mum's home care before she died 4-5yrs ago was a total *****, nor do I particularly​ like communicatin​g online with military chicks or airline stewardesses​ who go gallivanting​ all over the place, as it's usually led to HUGE fights with those who became one since first getting to know them.

Being from England, I mostly use English (though better at writing it than speaking it after years of being picked on at school).

Briefly had interests in trying to learn Italian, Russian, Swedish, Norwegian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Dutch..... but these days don't have the energy to bother trying. But do like playing around with them online translation tools to see what a mess they can make of translating.​
But knowing insults in Russian, Korean, Chinese, Polish and a few others I suppose could be useful to me so I can finally hurl some very abusive language towards the idiots who spam my messageboard​s, etc.

Previously didn't mind IM'ing / E-mailing people from non-English speaking countries back in the days when I had more energy, and helping them fine-tune their English sentences into something that actually made sense (especially if they were female & good looking) ;)
