Happily married to Maria del Rocio for the last 8 years (but met her 12 years ago).  Two kids so far: Ignacio (3 y.o.) and Tomas (2 m.o.).  Family still growing as we would like 1 or 2 more children.

I'm a Paediatric Cardiologist​ and Rocio is a Paediatricia​n.  We work in different hospitals.  I'm at the National Children's Hospital in San Jose (capital) and she's at the Saint Vincent of Paul Hospital in Heredia province.

I've been into penpaling since 1989.  Still writing letters and e-mails to friends in Germany, France and Austria.  I started to be interested after a friend who was deeply in pen-paling.  Nice to read letters, know about others people life, works, expectations​, culture, music, hobbies and interest and many other things.

We live in the north-east mountains, in the central valley of Costa Rica, int he Heredia province.  Beautiful place to live.  Evergreen area with cloud forest.

I'm fluent in Spanish and English and I know very basic German.  I do understand Portuguese and French in writing but can't speak or write it.

I like frank, honest people, just the way they are.  True friendship, that's it.
