Hello there! :) I am 30 years old friendly guy, living in the midwest of the Italy and work as a teacher. I enjoy traveling, sailing, diving, reading good books, watching movies, arts and some sports. I'm open to talking to anyone from anywhere. If you want to write then please do, but please write more than 20 words in your first email so I can get to know you, as that won t give me much to go on. Don't just write a short email saying 'I liked your profile, while not telling me anything about yourself, then say you would like to know more about me. Please write at least half as much as I've done here in your intro email. If you can't be bothered to do that then I won't be bothered to reply. I want a letter writer as a penpal not a soulless text message now and then. Oh and offers of marriage, hidden fortunes and praising the Lord that you have found someone like me might raise a laugh, but are unlikely to entice anything more than a deleted email or if you are lucky maybe an insult from me.

I am basically interested in everything from the natural world and science to history and sociology. So if you want to talk/rant about stuff like that then that is cool with me.

I have a fairly broad taste in music, although it s fair to say that I m not easily pleased. I like a little of most genres. I suppose I m mainly into jazz, electronica (whatever than means), some new wave and some (actually very little) indie/altern​ative.

I love 70s American cinema, early British cinema, Japanese new wave cinema, and European films in general. I can t be bothered to list films and directors right now, but I do love to discuss movies and I hope you do to.

Without a doubt my main love is reading. I mainly read speculative and weird fiction, which basically encompasses:​ science fiction, fantasy and horror. That is not to say that I like books about spaceships, elves and vampires. In fact I hardly like any of that stuff. I like imaginative writers who like to explore their metaphors in the fantastic. Authors like: H.P. Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, Philip Pullman, Michael Moorcock, Kafka, Brian Aldiss, Alfred Bester, Dan Simmons, etc  I m not a big fan of realist fiction, but I m getting into Dostoyevsky,​ Hemmingway and others, However I m not a big fan of the current trend of autobiograph​ical fiction. I like some comic books: basically early Alan Moore and Frank Miller.
