About Me:
Hi!~

Requests:
I'd like to learn French and German, so people from these countries are most welcome. Generally speaking, would be nice to have penpals from Europe, USA, Canada, Japan, Russia, Korea,China or Hong Kong. ^^ apart from that, just anyone. don't bother adding me as a friend if you've never talked to me. I'll decline anyway. No more people from Africa, sorry but I'm just fed up with you guys looking for a wife or girlfriend and saying how great friends we are without even knowing me. I am not interested. I won't even reply so don't waste our time, ok? :]
I'd like to find penpals who enjoy writing traditional letters, as it would make me spend less time in front of my laptop ^^ Girls, boys... I've got a boyfriend, though so no romance please :) Age is not the case as long as you think we've got something to talk about apart from 'hi how are you'.

Death Note.
It's not really a TV show though... I don't watch TV, its a time-eater and there's nothing interesting on it ;)

Favorite Quotes:
When he saw the king he sat up and looked at Alexander. Alexander greeted him and said:
"Diogenes, I have heard a great deal about you. Is there anything I can do for you?"
"Yes," said Diogenes, "you can step aside a little so as not to keep the sunshine from me."
The king was very much surprised. But this answer did not make him angry. He turned to his officers with the following words:
"Say what you like, but if I were not Alexander, I should like to be Diogenes."

Yup, I was tempted to buy it when I went on schooltrip to Spain with my class! Unfortunately, I too don't speak any Spanish - and it's true that it is similar to Italian, but not so similar that a total beginner can afford a 700-pages novel! Many Italians think that to learn Spanish it just takes to put a "s" in the tail of any Italian word ending in vowel *rolls eyes*
I'd suggest you to give a try to Nabokov's works, "Pnin" for example: it's not very long, the writing is awesome and the story is funny and tender withour the slightest hint of pathetic; otherwise, to not get far from Spanish-speaking literature, you could try with Mario Vargas Llosa, "Aunt Julia and the scripwriter". Hope these little tips will be useful :)
Btw, what kind of full-time job do you have?

You're much welcome & thanks for replying back!
That book has been very recently translated in Italian, so I don't think it will be long until it comes out in UK. I haven't read it yet because it's pretty long (almost 700 pages) and at the moment I prefer to focus on uni studies: I wouldn't enjoy to read like a pair of pages every two weeks because of lack of time :-/
However, I read a review saying it's as good as, if not better than, Shadow of the Wind, so it makes hope for the well :D
Yay, good old cynic philosophers! Those and the epicureans were some of my favorite ones during Greek philosphy classes :)

Hello there!
I could say your profile is pretty nice overall, or that your books choice is very interesting to say the least (by the way, random question: have you read Zafón's new novel, El juego del angel? Sorry, the Spanish is not meant to make me sound like a language egghead, it's just that I don't know the English translation title -_-), but the thing that's most amazing is the Diogenes anecdote: kudos to your knowledge :)
