I don't have many requests . . . I'm happy to speak with people of all ages, either gender.  I'm definitely mainly looking for Chinese practice, but that's not all I care about, I like talking to people, too.  I can be a bit slow in responding at times, because I do lead a pretty busy life, just be a bit patient if you can!

The only languages I'm really any good at are English and Chinese.  English is pretty obvious; Chinese I've studied for about three and a half years.  I studied Japanese for a year last year, and would like to follow up on that; Russian I studied for two years, and have forgotten most of, but i LOVE the language.

I have many interests and hobbies, but the ones I'm currently pursuing the most are playing guitar, skateboardin​g, learning the guzheng, and rock climbing, as well as traveling, of course.

In the last two months, I've traveled to a variety of locations within China.  As of the time of me writing this, I most recently visited Nanjing; at the beginning of October I went to Yunnan, which was amazing, and I'd love to go back some time and explore the parts I didn't get to see.

I mostly listen to independent rock, and my favorite bands are Pinback, Broken Social Scene, Wolf Parade, Do Make Say Think, AFI, Cursive . . . and probably another 20 or so.

The Darjeeling Limited, Solaris, The Science of Sleep, Punch Drunk Love, Fight Club, Half Nelson

Catcher in the Rye, The Hyperion Cantos, anything by Brian K Vaughan, Planetary by Warren Ellis/ John Cassady.  Last book I read, as of the time of writing, was Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathon Safron Froer, and it made me shed a tear or two.
