About Me:

Salutations fellow pen pals,

A little bit about myself:

Hi my name is Jonathan. I  live in Toronto, Canada where I am currently starting on my Master's degree in behavioural cardiology. This 2008 summer I had the time of my life as a YMCA program coordinator, where I did lots of fun stuff such as camping trips and helping out the community doing food drives.

My interests include alot of exercize related activities, such as boxing/running for cardio and playing hockey as my favorite pastime. I'm also a big anime fan, where my favorite animes include Gungrave and Hajime no Ippo.

Why I want a penpal:

Since moving to Toronto I have lost many of my good friends from Calgary, but I still keep track of them by email or facebook. Thus, I have grown accostumed to using email as a primary way of communication. I would love to meet new and interesting people using email as well, so the penpal idea was found here.

Wanted Penpals:

The type of penpal(s) I want is basically anyone who feels interested in improving their English or just wants to chat about any thing interesting.

To end with a quote of great importance to me:

"Along with trustworthiness, consistency is the thing to look for when you surround yourself with people who can help you on your quest." - Mike Johnson

I like this on too...

"To gain a hundred victories in a hundred battles is not the highest excellence; to subjugate the enemy's army without doing battle is the highest of excellence."

What do you think?

Hey Jon,

Thanks for the reply. Its cool that were both new here.

I pretty much stick to my Asian value. Most people where I live don't seem to care about the moral values

"Waste not time; for that's the stuff that life is made of."
by Benjamin Franklin is a good one. Sometimes it seems to me that people don't value their time.

hahahaha its good to hear from you again. yup its been a while. The month went by quickly, it was a good month.

The picture is from the pacific media expo in southern california. its me and another guy dressed up.

I have to admit that it is hard to be aware of what is compassion and what is pity. However, you can always seem to understand what it is when you examine the source.

I love that quote, its especially important since people tend to worry about gifts for the holidays that they forget that its all about family and friends. For me, just being home with parents is nice, and its good to reflect upon all those things for the coming year

Ill leave you this one
"The darker it is, the brighter the light will shine"

yup its been a while.

Wow, that was deep. I think that the only thing the person would have is the habit left if that was the case. And only a small part of them would remain from that memory point, and would be a completely different person.

"To live, is to know you lived" kind of can sum it up.

For the that quote, I believe it means that those who do not have the heart or maybe the compassion deserve pity, that for those who have no compassion for others, one shouldn't be angry at them, since they dont have the same grace of those who have compassion.
