Hi Binny,
I am a New Jersey boy, but work on the Lower East Side of NYC. I am the director of a literacy program. We provide ESL classes (English as a Second Language) to immigrants for free. I love talking and communicatio​n on almost every subject. I spent two years studying Chinese in Taiwan at National Taiwan Normal University while doing research on the Taiwan Independence​ Movement. I like History and Politics and being a History and East Asian Studies major in college fit me like a glove. How about yourself?

When I am not doing work related things, I like exploring the interesting restaurants around the city. A nice Southern Italian wine bar like "In Vino" on the LES with some basil, mozzarella and tomatoes, a tapas bar with great sangria like "Cafe Riazor"​ in Chelsea or sipping some otokoyama or hakkaisan sake and nibbling on some yakigeso, magurokama and tanshio at the Japanese izakaya, Typhoon Lounge in East Village are some spots I like in NYC. I love to tap my feet to some nice club music from DJ Tony Humphries or some jazz from The Divine One Sarah Vaughn. Where do you like to stop and have a bite and drink?

Being from New Jersey, I like checking out the sakura and cherry blossom trees in Newark, New Jersey, though I haven't seen all 2,000 of them! I also like hitting up the nice Brazilian and Portuguese restuarants for the bar-b-que, seafood and the sangria there is second to none!
