I'm a British university student of mixed blood - half English and half Chinese, but on the English side I have Scottish, Maltese Italian and Welsh blood.  I just got accepted into the university and will be studying Chinese and Japanese as a Joint Honours Degree.

I have dark brown hair with natural auburn highlights that reaches past my shoulders and hazel eyes.  I wear glasses, and sometimes contact lenses.

My mum's family comes from Shantou in the Guandong province in China, but Mum and her sisters and brother were born and raised in Hong Kong. Many make the mistake of assuming that I was born and raised in China or Hong Kong. I was actually born in England. I have been to Hong Kong to visit my family, but I have never lived there.

I'm happiest when I'm on my own, reading a book or Manga (I'm a real anime and manga nut), watching one of my favourite films or telelvision series, singing one of my favourite songs or spending a day with my best friends. I love playing badminton, either at school or at home with my aunt Josephine when's she's visiting from Hong Kong or with my friend and neighbour Sammi. I also do a bit of Tae Kwon Do.

Friends describe me as serious, romantic (from reading and watching so many romantic novels and movies), mysterious, stubborn, funny (although I don't think I am), a good listener and great for a day out

Boys or girls, it doesn't make any difference to me as I'm mostly looking for new friends and improve my Chinese and Japanese.
Though I'd prefer a pen pal from the Far East (either Japan or China), I don't mind who replies, preferably around my age or a bit older.

I am able to speak French fairly fluently, however I still need help with some of my grammar.  I would like to learn Japanese and Chinese; I can speak a bit of Cantonese because my mum has taught me, but I can only read a few characters in Chinese.
