You know, call me presumptuous, I don't think your real name is Conan. If it is, I apologize, that's a truly great name. But all that brings me to something I sort of envy most Asian people: you guys can always - and are even assumed to - come up with awesome localized names when you move abroad. I think it's especially prevalent with Chinese and Thai people, the latter of which because Thai people really do have crazy names. The former probably because the proper pronunciation is literally impossible for westerners to figure out from writing. We used to have a Taiwanese guy at work called Jerry. I don't think that was his real name.
Anyhoo, be it from your parents or your own imagination, Conan is a great name.
