About Me:

I ONLY WANT FEMALE SNAIL MAIL PENPALS
Please, read my whole profile before sending me a message

********************************************************

I'm a 21-year-old student from Madrid, where I study Forest Engineering at University. I'm Madrilenian, Spanish, European and, above all, a citizen of the world, an individual in this huge universe.

Why sticking ourselves to national stereotypes, when diversity is the best thing that human beings have? Nationalisms nowadays are absurd, in a world that hopes to be more and more united everyday, where we are all part of the Earth. Your identity is what you want it to be, not what your passport says. Don't claim for an independent nation: get an independent soul! Be free! Respect your culture and the others' too! Share it and make the world a better place! A single person can contribute much more than a whole government. The ones who hide themselves behind a flag aren't brave enough to face the world of nowadays...

Requests:

Somebody who likes writing long letters too (long isn't half an A4 page!), and ready to have a good snail mail penpal. And who doesn't stop writing after one or two letters! It's not necessary to write a letter everyday (I know it's not possible, I'm a busy girl too), but if you write once every 6 months, I will take for granted that you aren't interested in being my penpal... Anyway, isn't it great to receive a handwritten letter from a friend who lives in the other side of the world? :)

I'm here just to look for female SNAIL MAIL PENPALS ONLY. No msn (I don't have time), nor e-mail (I find it so cold...) and no trying for something more than a good friendship.

I have restricted my privacy settings, so I won't receive any messages from males. Girls, you all should do the same! After a year as an Interpals user, I'm fed up of being "politically correct", so here it goes everything I've always wanted to say:

- I'm fed up of receiving marry proposals. Come on, get a life!
- I've realised that 95% of males never read any profiles, and just send the same "hi how r u" or long copied&pasted messages to every girl they see online.
- Old men sending messages to girls that could be their daughters are sick. If they do it online, I'm sure they do it in real life too...
- Men from certain countries tend to treat women like objects or farm animals. I don't know if it's in their native culture or what, but sorry, I don't like sexists and I find it humiliating for women. I have enough with the ones of my neighbourhood, because I can experience it everyday, and it's really degrading. Spanish men treat women with respect, so please, do the same!
- No matter what, all men tend to end up being flirty. And that's not my thing, sorry. There are many kinky sl*ts on here, try it with them, not with me!
- Sorry to all honest men that I've just offended. I know that some of them still exist. But I don't want to penpal with you either. Sorry, but I only want female pen-friends, and if you don't respect that, maybe you aren't so honest... Don't try to contact me by all means (are you desperate or what?), I've said no!

FOR GIRLS: I am one of those who believe in real true and long-lasting friendship by snail mail :) . I love talking about girly things and daily life, but also about deeper and more serious subjects. So if you believe that a lifetime friendship is possible between us, and want a Spanish penpal, don't doubt to message me!

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

I like:
- Music
- Cinema
- Art
- Travelling
- Collecting postcards, stamps and retro/vintage posters
- Animals, environment, animal-rights and vegetarianism
- Vespas
- Literature
- Theatre
- Playing guitar
- Photography (check out my blog http://www.photoblog.com/saramadrid)
- Walking around Madrid, its streets, parks, gardens and squares
- Pistachio ice-cream
- Watching the people go by and imagine where they are going or what is in their minds
- Writing letters
- Sun, rain, clouds, wind, snow and everything that makes me realise that we haven't destroyed the Earth yet and we don't have to live inside a plastic bubble

I dislike:
- Stereotypes (and sadly, Spain is probably the country with the biggest amount of false stereotypes in the world...)
- Wars, armies and guns
- Young people who are scared of learning, don't show interest for anything and don't know what to do with their lives. It seems culture isn't "cool" anymore...
- Wrong spelling. It gets me on my nerves! In Spain, people who spell wrong are often considered very low-class or ignorant. And if I spell better in English, which isn't my mother tongue, than an English-speaking person... then that's a problem!
- People who describe themselves as "ordinary". I think it's the worst adjective in the world... Come on, be different and proud of it! Everybody is somehow special!
- Girls who don't want to pursue a career and whose only dream is to get married and have kids. So many centuries fighting for our rights, but still in the 21st century we get to see these "female" roles on TV commercials and films everday...
- Racists, xenophobes, sexists, homophobes, fascists and any other "freedom-restricters". Gosh, all those people should just disappear from the Earth and be treated as barbarians.
- People who try to impose their opinions and viewpoints to everyone else. Isn't that called a "dictator"?
