Let’s start from the very beginning
It’s a very good place to start
There was a girl in school who I liked
But I was scared cause she was a grade above me
I was scared of her
I just wanted to be friends
There was no way cause she was cool
But not to mention she was
Way too good for me and I was dumb

We hung out at youth group but things would not relax
I felt like I was flirting to the max
Well I tried
Things were awkward
But I pushed on
I was determined
To make this friendship real
and I was glad when
We began to talk and friends appeared

But to me we were more than friends
But that’s just me and I was off the track
I needed to believe that there was nothing more
But that’s very hard cause girls have special
Minds that guys just cannot understand

But this was different
We clicked in together
It took its time but it was worth it
It is confusing
Trying to get over it
But the coolest thing is that we talk about it
I am so happy when we’re together
Cause we are just the best of friends

And that’s what I love
That we are so close
It’s the weirdest thing
From primary school I never thought I had a chance
And now I can say
I love her
Cause she is my awesome chick friend
