I hear that some people are having issues with receiving letters from wherever.. or even the recipients are not getting them delivered..
well, here's an option, it might not be penpalling, but you might be able to defeat the post mail system by just sending and receiving postcards instead since these can't be opened and just disappear in the mail..

Of course you can do postcard swaps here too, but there is actually a site dedicated for postcard swappers too!

Like here, it's free. The main goal here is to send postcards and receive postcards.

If you have a scanner, digital camera or other means of taking pictures of  the postcard, you can post it up on their site before you send it off or after you've recieved one.
