Hey,

I'm thinking of taking Classics next year for my AS Level, and I was wondering what is in involved in the subject and what it's like?

Thanks!

To me "Classics" mean Greek and Latin works (literature, philosophy etc), and other texts from the Antiquity period.

First off, what is your AS level referring to? Second off, what is the Classics about?

In University, I took Classics 103 which referred to greek mythology. However, there was also classics for chinese mythology and other things similar to that.

An AS level is part of the educational system in the UK. A study of the Classics would likely include the great writers and philosophers of ancient Greece and Rome, such as Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Virgil, Ovid and Cicero.

I've suffered the same fate with my English literature degree. But, like you said, it's worth it.

Btw I've managed to carve out a decent career working with people with developmental disabilities. What do some of you other liberal arts majors do for a living?
