Like i said there s no such thing as coincidence
this is the first time in 3 yrs this machine stopped working. Nah, college arranged other fountain but it didn't have cooling system in it.
This is totally scientific . |
So all the others who wanted cold water didn't get a say because of you?
Yeah right. |
Thank you JWC, that was exactly the point I was trying to make. It's funny how these magical thinkers always have the "magic" operating in their favor even when it is to the deteriment of other people. |
I believe in the power of positive thinking but this example is just ridiculous.
I person getting it their way while 100's of others probably want the opposite.
(Mind you, sleepingsaint forgot to tell us he pulled out the power plug from the wall)
If I think positive about getting a convenient parking spot I usually get it.
If someone else gets it then they probably probably needed it me more than me (Yep, I see the old fart struggling to get outa the car) and I can cope with the distance (Wow, look what I found doing the walk!!!!)
This, to me, is positive thinking - not at the cost of others.

Yes they do.
If I think negative thoughts of every situation then it would be a case of "why bother".... I would never take risks..... try anything new.... think everybody would laugh at me when I post on TFS..... think the Moderators hate me ...... What?Oh, they do!!!!
With positive thoughts I am confident to try new things, take risks, and post my thoughts on subjects... knowing that whatever the result is I will survive and learn something from the experience. And say to the moderators ........

Oh yes, a positive attitude does one other thing...... it attracts positive people.
That's not just science...... it logic.
