I LOVE a great many of Edgar Allen Poes work. I own at lest one copy of each story or poem that he's ever writen or published. My 3 favorites of his works are The Raven, A Dream within a Dream, and Annabell Lee.

I used to love Poe as a child! I would curl up at bedtime with a stack of books beside me, and the one at the top would always be a collection of his short stories. The Pit and the Pendulum is my favorite.

Poe is one of my favorite authors, and we covered him extensively in a course on Southern Literature last fall here at The University of Georgia. While you may recognize his works in the Gothic genre, it may interest you to know that he is responsible for developing the Detective genre as well. His Murders in the Rue Morgue was groundbreaking in it's form and content.

Also, for all you Poe-heads, you may want to look into reading the works of a man named William Gilmore Simms. The man was Poe's main inspiration, and was like-minded in that he traveled to some very dark parts of the human mind.

Poe Edgard Alain is one of the greatest writers of the fantasy genre, unfortunately he was ahead of his time, his writings had no great success until his death.
Baudelaire translated his works a fantastic way because he has millions of French as I read this great writer, your friend victorio musulmano Laughing
