My book habits - Tom sends me a book for my birthday and I read it. The way one is supposed to read it, from front to back, dialogues and all. Shocked

That was before you lost it right? Laughing

My habit is having two or three books reading at the same time but in different occassions. One paperback (always an essay) to carry with me so I can read while waiting for people or dinning outside alone. One beside my bed, always a novel, bedtime reading is my favorite and I sleep late if the book is great :D The third one is on my desk, usually this one requires memoring, thinking and note-taking :D

I flip through a book before I buy it. Often I look to see if it is written well and not with "childish" words.
I usually read the last page too, just because well...... You csnt help yourself it's a really good book Wink

I horde books in that I buy so many I usually have about 2-3 waiting to be read and still I buy more.

I also can start a novel or book and read about halfway through and just want to start something else. I have to push myself to finish because that is usually the best part of a novel, is nearer the conclusion.

I also tend to read the last page...well, more like the last paragraph.

And.. I don't think it's a habit, but usually the author kills (disappears or mortally wound) my favorite character and so sometimes I tend to look for their names or some dialogue at the end to make sure they're still alive or if not, to prepare myself for the death haha. It spoils part of the story but I can't help it...

I never, ever skip to the back! And I usually have at least two books going (I am an admitted book addict!)

Does anyone here have a book habit? When I get a new book I always read the firt few lines then I go straight to the back, read the last page then I actually start reading the book. I dont know how or why I developed this habit but I only know one other person who does that same thing. So whats your habit? Idea

Me too! It just makes the book that much more interesting and actually motivates me to finish the book to see if the ending made sense. Jane Eyre was a different story though. I just couldn't finish that one.
