i definitely don't think it's a matter of age ... how mature you are has nothing to do with age. it's different from person to person.

i'm 25 and i realize i'm a kid. i want to be a kid. i'm not an adult ... for crying out loud i still spend hours playing computer games in between projects ...

so, if your parents told you that you need to grow up but then tell you that you are still a child that just means that they don't think you have grown up.

maybe you have, maybe you haven't ... but them telling you that you're a child means that they have some doubts about it, true or false.

then again ... and this may be a bad 'advice' but i will say it ... asking permission to do something is in itself a proof you are still a child, isn't it ?

When you're able to stand on your own feet I guess. Don't necessarily think it is age related, some people will be mature at 20, while others are still immature at the age of 24..

When around adults and expected to obey the norms of society...

I think I'll just keep the child within me in secret without annoying others , behave as you must behave, and so respect as you would repect ... Just don't annoy others like coming in a bad time... It's a gift to sense the mood of the situation you're in but then silence is still golden.



For a while I guess, as long as a while can endure , talk about growing up , opps growth as awkward as it may seem just keep it a secret - the inner child...

I think you will be mature when you want to be, I personally think it's in the character, some people just don't want to mature doesn't matter how old they are.
because it's hard to accept the reality of the world, and that everything isn't a fairy tail. I have seen people that where very mature at the age of 15 / 16 and i have seen very immature people at the age of 30/ 40 or above. that's what I think
