I just want to start off by saying that this is not an attempt to troll or start a fight. I'm well aware of how a lot of Muslims feel about the issue and I know of some passages in the Qu'ran that flat out say that it prohibits homosexual relations.

I'm here asking individuals who are Muslim that, if they were to know me in real life, would they hate me if they knew I was gay? Would they wish that I be put to death, or if they happen to be moderate or, dare I say, progressive?

You sure you aren't trying to start a fight? I'm not sure, but I don't think you will get any muslims to say that they hate you for being gay.

Another homosexuality thread. Brings back memories. From what I recall from previous threads, there usually isn't hate involved, per se: disgust is one common reaction, as are comments of unnaturalness and passing heavy judgment. I must say that you've posted a particularly volatile topic into a volatile forum; suffice it to say it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

It's your life, you can be what ever you want. I can't judge you or hate you for developing into who you are. Well as a Muslim I don't have any problems with the gay community. Actually one of my best friends in here is gay, I always talk to him and we hang out together.

No, no and...NO! You are a human being just like I am! The hell I'd hate you, it's your choice and I respect it. If you're a good person to me, we'd be best of friends even. It's how u treat me is what matters since it's the only thing related to me, everything else is your choice which belongs to you only.

I'm not a Muslim....or a Christian....neither am I a homophobe....but I think I hate you already....I hope this helps

Islam is the gayest religion out there.
That is a fact.
Guys wear dresses while looking at other guys asses.
And the females are in a different room doing the same thing.

But somehow they have a superiority complex with everyone else, including animals and people of other faiths.
I thought about helping some Islamic boys when they didn't know how to start a bowling game.

Well, I am against same sex marriage and gay pride parades.

But I don't care what people do in their private lives. There won't be problems whatsoever, so long that person has no romantic interest in me. Never recall hating a specific person solely on sexual orientation.

I am not a particularly prudish person but I treasure my privacy and intimacy. I wish if more people (out of modesty) would feel the same about the display of their sexuality in public regardless of affinities and orientation.
