It is known that Noah took in his Ark two species of every animals to preserve them for future generations. Here summer is going to come soon. I have one question: why did he take mosquitos in his Ark? And rats too? I hate them! Ó÷óäâàíå :Î

Don't think he took them in the Ark, mosquitoes can fly.

Nope, the mosquitoes came with the mammals animals...no creatures from the sea to take with in the ark...so was Noah selective with what mammal animals to take in the ark? The dark rats...they perhaps boat crashed their way in the ark...Just kidding.LOL

And furthermore, they lay their eggs in water. I should know.

I asked the same question about mosquitoes existence to my teachers when I was in school. I only remember their answers vaguely.

Everything exists for a reason. Living things are food chain. Mosquitoes serve as equally nutritious meals for birds, bats, etc. Rats serve as equally nutritious meals for snake. In the end we eat them or they eat us Twisted Evil

First, you must realize that the story of the ark is a rather fantastical one, not meant to be taken literally.

Second, mosquitoes play an important role in the ecosystem as food for fish, birds, bats and arthropods. Rats too serve a purpose in the ecosystem not the least of which is food for other animals, including humans in some cultures.
