At the southern tip of the Noumea peninsula at the Ouen Toro you can see stunning views. The track to the top of Ouen Toro is not far from Anse Vata beach.

have you been? A lot of French people don't even know about New Caledonia... Ñòðàäàíèå :(

I have been twice to New Caledonia. The French shipped a lighthouse by mistake to Amedee Island and now it is a popular tourist attraction. There are many steps to get to the top but worth the effort.

The main island Grand Terre Hienghène was a heart favourite of me. There were waterfalls, caves, a lagoon, reefs, beaches and mountains. Are you birth Australia or maybe European?

it is a different beach le baie de citron...good for swimming...the other side has all the big waves for all the active surfers. They are good beaches but not exactly like in Australia. Ours are a lot longer and often have more beach width. I saw my first live starfish on the baie! Incredible...
