I saw Fox News in the link and developed an immediate allergic reaction. Argh

This theory can never be proven or disproven, though it is fun to think of a dinosaur cutting the cheese on every streetcorner.

I have difficulties to believe theories of farting animals contributing to global warming. They don't add any carbon to the atmosphere. They eat plants which themselves have taken carbon gases out of the atmosphere.

I believe fossil fuelled power stations and deforestation are the main culprits.

Eugh. Never let a non scientist write an article on your scientific theories. If you have ever known anyone whose works got quoted in at the very least the local paper, you will know exactly what I mean.

I find this quite hilarious to be honest. I mean here is an article from this side of the pond based on the same paper:

which basically sums up the findings. It's probable their gases may have had some effect....

And I'm not saying our media sources are any better than those over the pond, but really...where in that article or in the paper or author quotes does it even mention anything about extinction of the dinosaurs being related to this?? FOX seem to get 2 + 2 = 5 in their working

I guess a bit of sensationalism goes a long way in selling a story though, probably boring to just read dino farts may or may not have caused a little hot air in the past

It's not about carbon. It's about methane, a relatively strong greenhouse gas.

Anyone who has been on road trips with drunk jackasses who lock the windows will see how that could be legit.

Methane is also a carbon gas.
