It's a book that's out.
It brings a lot of questions about the purpose of religion.
What would you do if the rapture was random?
What if you weren't chosen, what if you were left behind and religion didn't matter?
Would you still believe in your religion? |
The rapture isn't biblical so the question of "what if it was random" is moot. And since the rapture is a "Christian" concept then I'll assume by "your religion" you mean Christianity. And if it is Christianity being discussed then I would have to say that "randomness" is not part of the Christian theological equation. The Christian God is not a god of Chaos but of order... nothing is random. It is us, our short-sightedness or inability to conceive something that gives the appearance of chaos. |
I see, well let's just say it's the end of the world kind of stuff and the people that are saved have nothing to do with race, color or religion. But initially it was a question for Longloadr.
Would people that are left behind change their opinions about religion?
By the way, many things in life are random,
if not enthalpy would not exist. Every action leads to greater chaos, it takes energy and work to create order in a system.
Unless you can calculate where every atom in the earth will be in an hour, things are random.
