In protestant North American Christianity, we don't really have "calls to worship", although of course there are things such as a Sunday morning service. Many Christians also meet in homes for a mid week Bible study and prayer. Also, because of changes in society, work pressures etc.... some churches also offer services other than Sunday mornings. Saturday evening services are becoming popular in some churches.

And...instead of calls to worship at certain times of the day, followers of Jesus are encouraged to be in prayer continuously throughout the day. We don't need to assume certain postures, or perform any rituals to talk with the Lord.

Liam Neeson may have found a new faith during his time filming in Istanbul.

The Irish actor admitted to the U.K.’s Sun newspaper that he is considering giving up his Catholic beliefs in order to become a Muslim.

Neeson, 59, went on to explain that Islamic prayer “got into his spirit” when he spent time in the Turkish city working on the action-thriller “Taken 2.”

“The call to prayer happens five times a day, and for the first week, it drives you crazy, and then it just gets into your spirit, and it’s the most beautiful, beautiful thing,” he told the newspaper
“There are 4,000 mosques in the city,” he added. “Some are just stunning, and it really makes me think about becoming a Muslim.”

 :)

Well sometimes there are morning bhajans in Hindu temples

Btw there is a saying in India which is about azaan

it says,

Kankad padthar jod ke tune masjid di banai

chadkar mullah bang de,kya behra hai khudai?

It says that

using motar and bricks, you have constructed a mosque.
Now a mullah does the azaan,is your god deaf?

btw no offenses intended...just wanted to share some sayings in my country regarding azaan..i really like that concept to be honest,i mean the only reason i never miss my morning walks.. :D
