I don't know them and I'm sure that their names aren't mentioned on many high school science books. But Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton, James Watt, Charler Darwin, etc, I'm sure that many peoples know those names and those names are mentioned in almost science books in the world.
I already quoted the names and the link before and you may recheck them and their religion status here http://www.adherents.com/people/100_scientists.html

no problem sister. i know that everybody here is looking just to talk about islam negativly and nobody wants to hear that muslim scientists were brilliant and they gived a lot in many scientific fields.

i'm sure you are not studying physics or medcine..that's why you're judging muslim scientists.

again, i advice you to read a little about science's history.there is many videoson youtube , anyway i know you're not going to watch them or even to correct your ideas !!

in quran god says that when someone gets more scientific knowledge, his faith grows and become bigger.because day after day he discovers how much creatures are amazing.

the most of people converting to islam in europe/america...are doctors or scientists.
for example ::

keith more :is a professor emeritus in the division of anatomy, in the Faculty of Surgery, at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada

alfred kroner : retired Professor of Geology at Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz in Mainz, Germany. He specializes in the pre-Cambrian geology of Africa

WILLIAM W HAY Professor Emeritus of Geological Sciences
Associate Curator, University of Colorado Museum

E MARSHALL JOHNSON: professor and president of anatomy's department and development biolgy
gerald g goeringer : Professor of Medical Embryology at the Department of Cell Biology, School of Medicine, Georgetown University, Washington, D.C

and there is more...i don't mean that you should do like them and convert to islam. but i just want to show you that these brillant scientists became muslims thanks to science not because they werer born in islamic countries or......

Funny: none of those scientists you mention seem to be muslims: Keith Moore isn't, Alfred Kroner isn't, William Hay isn't, Gerald Goeringer appears not to be, and I've found no indication that E. Marshall Johnson is either (while his comments reveal that he found no problem with the divine, it seems to me that he's rather like Keith Moore). This is clearly a lie perpetrated by muslims; why would they do that?

The funny thing is , if Hermoira doesnt hear about a scientist it means he s not known. Why didnt she hear so he can not be a good scientist. Óñìèõâàíå :)

Grow up sister.

I ve just visited nearly 2 years ago an exhibition in ISTANBUL which name was 1001 inventions. This exhibition was also in London. It was a perfect experience for me to see 1001 perfect invention of Muslim scientists and modern science basically based on those inventions. You can also check out the site.
http://www.1001inventions.com/

So my point is Islam doesnt make muslims far from Science, just the opposite It encourages to dig into science and knowledge.
If presents muslims are lazy and as my brother ayoubalmo pointed the leaders are not eanough capaple to support people on this it s not the mistake of Islam it s our mistake.

Coming back to the topic, My first post include a website , it clearly tells scientific verses of Quran. So easy to check out and see. If you do not do that and want me copy and paste here just to make discussion longer i will doubt on your sincerity.

i'm nota liar, and i'm not very stupid to write liars here if i know that you can search about them.
those scientists agree 100% with the quran, and they belive that mohammad is realy a messenger because (as they said) nobody could know all those informations in that time.

you can see videos about this, what do you need more to be convinced that they totally agree with quran !?

please if you have any more problems with islam just tell me !? i'll be happy to know more Óñìèõâàíå :)
i know you won't never stop searching for contradictions in quran , good luck Wink

These (1001 inventions) advances came at the height of the Islamic empire's glory when it spread from the Middle East, across North Africa to southern Spain and beyond. "During that time, which is about 1,000 years, there were enormous contributions in science and technology, that came to us from other civilizations over another very important civilization and that is the Muslim civilization," he said.

Muslims absorbed knowledge - from India, China, the Greeks, the ancient Egyptians - and passed it on,

So really no different to the Romans - Their empire glory years.

And then there is mathematics and algebra. In general, our numbers are known as Arabic numerals today, but it wasn't always so. "The numbers that we have today - 1,2,3,4 - they're called Arabic numerals, but actually the Arabs at the time called them Indian numerals," he (Professor Salim al Hassani of the University of Manchester) said.

And lastly,

These advances came at the height of the Islamic empire's glory when it spread from the Middle East, across North Africa to southern Spain and beyond. "During that time, which is about 1,000 years, there were enormous contributions in science and technology, that came to us from other civilizations

I just love the way some Muslims can take a really good event (like this exhibition) and turn it into a vehicle of propoganda in an attempt to "prove" that Islam is THE religion. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

For me Islam is THE religion. But this exhibition is not to show islam is THE religion. It s to show that Muslims also have words to speak in science and technology.

You say muslims absorbed knowledge and etc etc. For sure they ll absorb the knowledge but the point they work on knowledge and develop it until a point. Then another one takes from there and brings to the higher point. It s accumulated . Science is like that already. Nobody has to discover numbers from beginning to study physics they ll use what was invented already.

i will appreciate that.
Just post the verse n the brief description of the verse

This is correct? We both agree on this?

You respond with:

Take a look here please.

Islam isnt a biology or chemistry book. it's a religious spiritual book which contains elements from universal science though. as far as i checked Someone86's weblink at the first page, it gives you many verses about your question and this topic is done Óñìèõâàíå :)

and then I'll ask you to see the facts from these questions:
1. how many Islamic countries in the world are categorized as "the first world countries"..??
2. how many Muslims in the world are well known as "the smartest/the most influential/the most intelligence peoples ever"..??
3. how many greatest libraries, greatest laboratories, greatest museums of science, and greatest universities in the world which are held/built in Islamic countries...???

this simply looks like a trolling attempt, following other comments of yours here.

OP is talking about verses from Quran, not muslim countries. if you're interested about muslim countries or weather forecast of Guinea, you can go open another thread and i'm sure muslim users will satisfy you with many replies. they will include blood thirsty crusades and Mongol invasion of muslim countries too.

oh babe Óñìèõâàíå :)
still remember when you gave an advice to compare Christianity perspective and Islam perspective when the topic and OP asking only about Christianity (Jesus Son of God or Son of man?")? and now when I give the facts and not using my Christianity perspective, see you try to deny the facts. Óñìèõâàíå :)

by the way. I quoted Quran verses and appreciate them Óñìèõâàíå :) and I'm not like Someone86 who only could put the link, I doubt if he really understood about those link's contents. Peace be upon you Someone86 and you babe La_turca.

I remember a drama. somebody was crying here to not judge anybody anymore.

And JWC i m posting them just because you bolded your post Óñìèõâàíå :)

Yes, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. (Qur'an, 75:4)
Allah knows what every female bears and every shrinking of the womb and every swelling. Everything has its measure with Him. (Qur'an, 13:8 )
And the sun runs to a fixed resting place. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. (Surah Ya Sin, 38 )
