http://www.scienceislam.com/scientists_quran.php

Here is a list of certain scientists and their testimonies to islam

First keith moore, the legend scientists that had quoted a 'miracle'in islam,Himself refused to even comment ten years later stating that he hasnt been in touch with the quran(in other words,he doesnt find it satisfying anymore)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_L._Moore

"Moore's work on the Qur'an has aroused controversy among embryologists such as PZ Myers.[15] In 2002, Moore chose not to be interviewed by the Wall Street Journal on the subject of his work on Islam, stating that "it's been ten or eleven years since I was involved in the Qur'an
"

Secondly,i quote some more scientists found in the list on the link i gave you

A conference once took place where a number of scientist swere interviewed and muslims often use these claims to show how miracles are found in the quran.

"Marine scientist William Hay complained of having fallen into a "trap" in interviews[3] , while embryologist Gerald Goeringer claimed "mutual manipulation" between the scientists and conference organizers[3] . Retired Geologist Professor Alfred Kröner of the University of Mainz has a standard e-mail reply clarifying his "out of context" remarks during one of the conferences and has described the proceedings which resulted in his remarks being used by Muslim apologists.

Further interviews have been obtained with Alfred Kröner, William Hay, Allison (Pete) Palmer, and Professor Tom Armstrong where they describe the events as they really happened, and how they were subsequently quote-mined and misrepresented. These interviews were conducted by TheRationalizer and are available on the YouTube account"

I am still looking for more scientists but even google cant find relevant links

Comments expected from both muslims and non muslims

Maybe it has to do with beginnings....
Tenet of judaism.,,,..God restored to abraham and sarah their reproductive powers so that they could have a love child together..Abraham had beseeched god for a child from SARAH..His beseechingness was positively answered...
Tenet of christianity....God directly caused the miracle conception of jesus.....
Abraham also beseeched god that ishmael the son of the slave woman "live before him" the answer was the child of sarah,isaac...
For islam, with ishmael being banished from the covenant and the prophet himself having existed by keeping someone elses sheep it must present a problem, what with jewsnchristians having all this here fancy book lernin and mohammet being illiterate, wouldn't you try and convince famous people to endorse your beliefs?? Or as a literate person surrounded by a history of literacy do you not feel the need to justify your beliefs in any particular field..Ishmael jibrill and mohammet!!! Achilles heel???

I've been trying to follow this Keith Moore thing without much success.

Let me see if I understand the basic premise. There are writings in the Qur'an about embryology and human reproduction/biology that are, perhaps, too advanced for their time? Suggesting that the information was God given?

If I've got that right then my problem with that is that historically thinkers quite often make lucky and seemingly prophetic guesses about things that later turn out to be slightly/mostly accurate.

Like, for instance, Democritus. Not sure we'd say today that Zeus was whispering in his shell-like.

for keith moore, i didn't hear him saying that he is muslim before. but he believes that quran is true and mohammad couldn't know that informations in his time. keith moore said that mohammad is realy sent by somebody....

being a muslim= beliving in one god (muslims call it "allh") +beliveing in all the previous prohpets( jesus, muse, soluman, david,noah.....)+ the other relegious books (bible+quran , turat....) belive in the lats day, and in destiney (bad or good).
keith moore belives that mohammad is sent by god, but he said it indirectly.

keith moore is a brillant scientists, even if he isn't muslim. islam will stay as it is and as it was...

you can see many videos about people converted to islam .they different people :doctors, soldiers, young people, old peopl, christians,....i think you have just to know the reason they converted. because you may belive an europeanor australian but you can't belive me.

I don't really see science as supporting or refuting Islam any more than Christianity or Buddhism since religion deals with realms of existence that transcend the empirical. I know there are arguments based on science for God's existence (or Allah) but these can't prove God exists or bring a person to faith. At most, they can suggest to the believer a better understanding of God, or suggest to the non-believer the concept of God is worth examining. But nothing in science has demonstrated to me that Islam is true (in fact I find a lot more worth in the life of a good Muslim as to Islam's truth, than the often silly attempts at apologetics some fundamentalist Muslims make to prove their faith is right).

In terms of intellectual credibility, the rich philosophical, poetic and theological heritage of Islam is more compelling. Rumi's poetry and the philosophy of Avicenna or Al-Ghazali and the mysticism of the Sufis has always moved me far more to think Islam could be true than aggressive apologetics based on proof-texting the Qu'ran.

you think realy that science and relegion are independent.
let's see on what sciece is based !!?

if you devide everything in this universe to very small particle you'll find atoms and electrons , right ?
and if you look to the cell---you'll see something called DNA......well, electrons and protons are everywhere.
but how do we know that ? of course the answer is : human's brain, humans think. but how they do that !?
everyone has a head and inside that head there is a brain and inside that brain there is cells and inside thosez cells there is: carbone+......

at the end all what we know about atoms is provided by atoms.this is a little strange. but the most complicated is how an electron can think ?how a cells do that ?

this become more complicated when we now that all what our brain analyses is only electrical signs. so the word we're living in is relative.
to understand this more, i suggest to you to close your eyes ,and imagine that you were born blind and you can't hear or neither talk,
do you think you' would have the same vision ou have now ? do you think you'll have the same way of thinking !!?

if you understood what i said ,then you'll see that there is something strange in our life and in this world.
and you'll discover that there is a reason behind all this. some people call it considence and you can call it whatever you like......for me i call it "god"

@ayoubalmo

Well i cant really trust dr keith moore explanations since he kind of backtracked the statement

and he probably did that cause he was sponsered to write a book of islam and embroyology

Then there are four scientists who claim they are mis represented

The source is wikipedia

sooo total four scientists on the list of my first link say they were misrepresented

well...

misrepresented !!?

sorry, i 've heared what they said on youtube. and they were in KSA when they said their declarations.....

i think we don't have to make this simple things more bigger. we don't need to wait until a brilliant scientists con, vert to islam then we can say : islam is right. with or without those scientists islam is and will always be strong.

keith moore is a great scientists and i respect him as i respect all the scientists on this planet. he gived his point of view about quran.
and that point of view agrees with quran. it's very simple.

@ayub,friend.what i meant is that the four scientists said that words were put in their mouth and they dont agree with what they said.the muslim world is making there videos go viral.but not many people even google their names and beleive what they see in the video.keith moore backtracked as well.if quran was such a stunning book,he would have atleast commentated, leave converted..
