Seems like your old prime minister is a great visionary. Seem like all the old prime minister are wise. Singapore's first prime minister is sort of still in power today. He has a different name though, called minister mentor. I really admire his workrate and drive at his advance age of 80+++. I can never imagine myself doing that.

Do you and your sis share this account?  For a moment I thought I was turning senile. However, I just went back to check the first few messages exchange I had with you and you  clearly said that you were in sg in july.

I don't really like planes. Had an overdose of it when I was in europe. I like trains and coaches more. At least there are some scenery. Anyway, I would love to be your tour guide in sg but I guess your cousins and mum will suffice. But do meet up for coffee or something if you have time to spare.

Well I'll be gone from the 15th to the 21st, so about a week. My uncle is paying for everybody's airfare, hotel costs and meals in my family along with some of my aunts and uncles, so it'll be crazy. I can't wait to try surfing, I heard it was hard though. I bought like $100 in film (8mm movie film and 120 film) to shoot with, so I can't wait to see how those shots come out.

I'm glad to hear your summer is going good! I've always found that when I'm off I never know what to do with all my free time. Then by the time I find something to do and get on a roll, school starts up again. Let me know how that volleyball tournament goes...

Haha, no it's messy! I wrote it in like separate parts and used arrows to direct each section. I think even after I make a final draft the topics will jump all over the place. I'm never good at staying on topic.

It's so frustrating! As far as I've head, Viacom, which owns Nickelodeon, refuses to sell Rocko's Modern Life on dvd because they've been arguing with the creator and claim there's no market for it. Wow, $280 is a lot! It's probably worth it though, how many episodes are there?

Haha, I think Emily Haines is a genius. Did I tell you I saw them three months ago in New York City? Such a fun show... they have pictures of it on their MySpace page.

Oh... my birthday is November 21, I'll be turning 19. That day I'll be in Honolulu, Los Angeles and Boston... so that'll be a hell of a day!

Every three months is still quite frequent. They seldom have anything here about contemporary art here. The situation is improving though. The authorities are really trying hard to increase the culture aspect of SG, in bid to draw more tourists and foreign talents.

I believe its "stinking" effect should be much more irritating than the exploding aftermath. Anyway it sure sounds fun. But who do you detest so much so as to give them the exploding paste treatment?

I thought you were in SG recently? July or something? Hmm, it's either you or me suffering from short term memories.

What made you feel that crazy? I too have days where I feel crazy. Usually it is due to an overdose of coffee/games/exercise.

You mean there a monthly grand opening for Museum of CA? On top of that there are free live band and food? It sounds really cool. There are lots of outdoor concerts/gigs/mini performances but they never come with food. Usually only career/recruitment talks come with free food. But with the global recession looming ahead, such treats are harder to come by.

Exploding paste? What is it made of? Tell me about it after you used it for it's intended purpose --pranks. hahaha. I bet your chemistry teachers will be so proud.

At least you get to travel. I may very well be stuck in Sg for the whole of Dec. So what will you be doing? Backpacking throughout Malaysia? or just visiting relatives and friends?

hey petra! i know, i'm never on this site anymore. well, i'm going to hawaii on friday! can't wait, i've always wanted to go surfing...
how about you? enjoying your summer so far?

yeah so i basically finished my letter but i wanted to do a final draft because it was pretty messy. i also wanted to send some photos and stuff, so hopefully i can get all that out this week.

and yes, rocko's modern life and ren and stimpy are two of the greatest cartoons ever! i miss them so much. i want to get them on dvd soon.
yeah, so i was going through your profile and i saw a heart next to 'metric' under your music section. i had no idea you were into them! they're definitely one of my favorite bands...

To prove you wrong, I shall praise you. Your new display pic is really nice. What great expression! Hahaha.

Art is really interesting. They are having this large scale art exhibition in sg call the sg biennale. Part of it is free for the public and they have really interesting display. My friends and I were arguing about the interpretation of one of the art piece until we come to a consensus that it can be interpreted in more than one way.

Actually netball is quite fun. They made my class learn netball during physical education. Too bad it is labelled as a female sport so guys don't really get to play.

I think it's kinda depressing to go through such history class. In sg, we had national education lessons, which were really just government propaganda. The student don't really pay attention to such lessons anyway. It was the field trip that we really looked forward to. Any lesson outside school was fun.

Finally done with your HSC? Congrats! Mine is going to start in another 16 days. sigh..... So you are still going ahead with your travel plans?

Are your trying to say life would be boring without you? Hmmm, didn't know you are so egoistic.... hahaha

The sad part is that there isn't any prize for it. They merely read out the score and every just clapped. Well, other than feeling real good and satisfied, there isn't any tangible rewards for now. I sure hope that I will get a A for it since it is a graded module.

I can totally imagine you with the gear. haha. You seem to like violent sport, don't you? I prefer non contact sport because I tend to get frustrated easily and end up being very rough to the opponent. Then I will feel guilty afterwards. So to save myself from endless guilt, I stick to sports with less contact involved.

There is a movie call "Australia" coming up. Seem like a nice one especially when there are Nicole Kidman and Huge Jackman (I just realised that both their last name has a man at the end) in it.

I suppose you are quite an entertainer, intentionally or not. haha. I love to have these people around. Life will be boring with them; can you imagine life without someone to make fun off (in a nice and funny way). So did you get any nicknames, like the the "confused girl"? I have this friend who always spill things, so she is known as the clumsy girl for 3 years running now.

It was pre programmed. Anyway, the competition is over and my group won. We basically trashed all the other teams. I guess luck was on our side. Some teams really looked like they were going to beat us until their robot start to malfunction.

What's Grid iron? It sound really really manly. Your knees sound like they are really in a bad shape. Anyway, you are still young, so you can always rest a few years, wait for them to recuperate and then play the sport again.

Looking confused on national TV don't sound too good. So did your friends tease you about it? If I see my friends doing that, he/she will definitely want to avoid me for a while. haha.

The robot is supposed to pick up a ball and shoot it at three different targets. It sounds so easy but implementing it is quite a challenging task.

So how many sports do you play? Hockey, netball, any others? Hmm, so did you see a physio or something? With the medical technology nowadays, I guess your knee condition can improve. Just look at what physio can do to the soccer players.
