I have always been fascinated by Teotihuacan.​  It would be really cool to see that city someday!  It's so big!  I even read an article on it but it's been so many years ago.  I should read up on it again. xD

Well I live in a city named Zoetermeer which means "sweet lake" in Dutch.  It's in an area the Dutch called "the Randstad"​ which is the area between Amsterdam, Utrecht, Den Haag and Rotterdam.  This is where the highest concentratio​n of people live so it's very crowded.  But Zoetermeer has a small town feel to it even though it has 120,000 people.  I like it here.  It's a more modern city now but there has been a little village here for over 1000 years.  But there is really nothing to see from those old times, unfortunatel​y since the things were all built from wood.  It's a typical Dutch town so there are not really tourists here or anything.

I grew up in a small town though in the USA in the state of Oregon.  It is a large farming community of about 15,000 people.  So I used to be in your "neck of the woods" (as we say in English).  I've only been living here in the Netherlands for 5 years now.

Thanks for posting on my wall.  It's nice to meet you.  How is everything in Mexico?  It must be warm this time of year there.  It's warming up here but being so much further north and near the sea the Netherlands doesn't get hot weather for very long.  Not that I mind, I love the cold. hahaha

Oh why was your dad learning to speak Dutch?  It's very interesting to hear about people learning Dutch who don't live here.  It's not a common language for people to be learning.

Ah I used to love to hear about the Mayans and Aztecs and such.  I always watched specials on Discovery channel if they talked about these ancient civilization​s.  Oh and that ancient city... Teotihuacan (is that the right spelling?)
