My name is Raquel, although I prefer to be called Rara.
I'm an artist that is starting Cosmetology school soon. I love reading and writing my own stories. I've drawn since I was a little girl. I love dreams and nightmares, and psychology. I'm fun loving and I prefer to live on the lighter side of life. I recently moved from Michigan to California, so I miss the vast forests of my home. I love trees and animals. I've studied Japanese by myself on and off since I was 14 years old, and I went to Tokyo when I was 18 and had the best time of my life. I'm very interested in Japanese and Korean culture, fashion, and food. I'm also interested in European culture. I'm fascinated by magic, fairies, and vampires.

I have a wonderful boyfriend and I'm not interested in male penpals (though there are always exceptions to this rule) or any romance. I don't like negative people, or talking about negative things. I absolutely need penpals who accept themselves and other people, and who are peace loving and enjoy diversity in their friends.

Also, recently I don't have a lot of time on the computer because of school. I have lots of time, however, for snail mail, and I'm still looking for more snail mail friends. Please don't worry if it takes a few days for my response.
