I´m a Brazilian Buddhist Monk, from Rio de Janeiro, but living in Asia for almost 5 years. I teach Buddhism through the MSN to whoever is interested about it. A meditação é parte integrante do Buddhismo e muito importante, e, por ser uma espécie de "modismo" no Ocidente, muita gente se interessa por ela. Na verdade, há vários tipos de meditação e não só no Buddhismo, mas também nas Religiões as pessoas meditam.
É importante aprender o Buddhismo como um todo, para sabermos a razão de meditar e para que ela é útil na prática. Sugiro que vc faça uma visita a nosso Grupo, que se reúne todos os DOMINGOS A PARTIR DAS 21 HORAS, no MSN, através do endereço:

Monks do use the Internet, have websites and have to be wherever people need us...
If we stay inside the temples, meditating all the time, we can not help people and not teach Buddhism...

Monastic Rules have different weight... Only four of them, when broken, mean the immediate expelling from the Monastic life... Some others can be judged in a kind of Monastic Trial... Some others are easily repaired if you just admit the mistake and show repentance, ok?
