I couldn't pull up the link you sent but after reading your comment I had to get out of bed to find my ipod so I could listen to him for a while. His music gives me chills.

Oh yes. To name a few; Neutral Milk Hotel, Elliott Smith, Slowdive, The Knife, and The Cure. Those are all favorites of mine.

yeah, I wrote to you in German, I thought you could understand it for some reason, had you confused mit someone else.

I suppose I have specific interests, I found you as I was reading about Postmodernism and searched it here.
I think I dislike postmodernism very much.

Marx - for his brilliant philosophic and economic analysis in his lifetime, trying to create a better world
Lenin - for restoring and continuing Marx, leading the Russian revolution, overthrowing that terrible Tsar.

Who do you admire?

Kant is difficult. I have a lot of works that I plan on going back to (Kant being one of them).
Well, I study these things because I'm interested in them. That's my only reason. In intellectual matters (like science, etc) it's important to recognise the origins of knowledge and the development on science. All these great works by these philosophers are steps up to where we are now as the human race.
Plus, if we don't know our history, we might end up making the same mistakes as those philosophers before us. :)

Hey, thank you for leaving a message on my wall :)
A lot of those works are hard to start without some background knowledge. It takes some research first.
What do you mean by 'actual'? Do you mean 'are they relevant'?
