I'm just a normal person, looking for some meaningful human interaction through this site.

I am from Ireland originally, but living in USA now for several years. There are many small differences in culture between both countries, but I'm a native English speaker so it's easy!

Sorry, I can only speak English properly. I studied French and German for 4 years a long time ago, and Japanese for 1 year, but it's not enough to have a conversation​.

I love to travel!! I'm most interested in Asia. I've visited Tokyo 8 times, Beijing 2 times, Seoul 2 times, Hong Kong and Taipei one time each. Outside Asia I have visited Australia, US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands,​ Switzerland and the Canary Islands. Does Hawaii count as visiting a different country? haha... of course not, but it's so far away that I think it should!

Sorry, it feels strange for me to have a male penpal... it's just easier to talk to females about most things.

I like anything related to the internet, computers, or gadgets... Also I like photography,​ traveling, going out to dinner in nice restaurants or cozy cafe, driving my car, relaxing, watching movies or listening to music, sports and so on...  all typical guy stuff!

I like most kinds of music! I'll listen to almost everything from early 70s to today's music. Some of my favorites: Radiohead, Snow Patrol, Beck, Death Cab for Cutie, Pizzicato 5... but don't be surprised if you hear me listening to some John Coltrane or Kraftwerk from time to time :)

Too many to list! some of my favorites: The Matrix, No Country For Old Men, THX 1138, Little Miss Sunshine, Léon (the professional​), もののけ姫, Shall We ダンス. I like Miyazaki's anime.

Friends, Family Guy, Futurama, South Park, Heroes, CSI, Battlestar Galactica, and I watch a lot of news/science​/history/nat​ure/PBS type shows

I hardly read at all these days, my work life is too busy. I read blogs, magazines - things that are quick to digest. I tend to like fact books more than fiction, but even then they tend to sit on my bookshelf waiting for me... The most recent book I bought was "Profes​sional ASP.NET 3.5".
