I'm a 46 year old preschool director and mother of two teenage daughters, I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Squaw Valley. My older daughter is studying to get her commercial pilot's license at a aviation college in Arizona.  My younger daughter is in high school and is interested in a career in ballet/dance​.  I grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and have lived at Lake Tahoe for the past 20 years.

I'm interested in pen pals that like to write about topics; hobbies, travel, families, traditions, folk lore.

I don't speak a foreign language, but I would be happy to write to someone that wants to practice their foreign language skills

Meditation, something new I'm trying to learn.  Motorcycles,​ I just bought a Harley Sportster 883 and am learning to ride and actually starting to get the hang of it.  skiing, travel, I have a tear drop trailer and there is a picture of it under "Burnin​g Man" running, last year I was running 9 minute miles and completed a couple of half marathons.  Afraid I have been slacking off! Cowboy Poetry I attend an art event called Burning Man almost every summer. also like the Strawberry festival.

I like lots of different kinds of music, I especially enjoy folk: Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Cat Stevens, Jimmy Buffet, Jackie Greene, blue grass, Blues,  and some country.

Rather watch a movie, then watch TV.  I watch 60 minute or the
news  on TV. I like to listen to NPR on the radio when driving to work.

The most recent book I read is A Thousand Setting Suns . Running with Scissors,  Jack London, John Steinbeck. Haven't has as much time for reading as I would wish!
