About Me:
Hey, I'm Allison. I'm 21. I'm a college student, Asian history major; Mandarin, Hebrew and Jewish studies minor. I am currently looking in graduate schools (I will be studying ethnomusicology, hopefully). I will be going to Israel this summer on an archeological dig! I really want to make some friends and understand the society, culture, customs before I go there.
We may be able to meet! I really don't know a lot about Israel, but I'm willing to learn! I may try to go to Iceland in the fall semester.
I live 60 miles north of NYC and I lived in Brooklyn during the summer. New York City is my second home and it is amazing! I can teach you about life in New York and in the Northeast. I also, know A LOT about China, Japan, and Korea so if you want to talk about East Asia, feel free to message me.
If you are also interested in music, message me! I sing (I am a coloratura soprano) but I also love singing folk music and the blues. I do a lot of backstage work with plays, operas, shows.

You seem quite accomplished with languages, music, and just in general. How did that happen? Well, of course, it didn't "just happen," but how did that come to be? It seems that you must have been extremely motivated at a young age. I mean, you've picked Chinese, Hebrew, Russian, and Icelandic. Those are all difficult languages. Glutton for punishment? ;) That's just really fascinating to me. Best to you.
