To get started, I live in New York City and am Indian. Even though I don't live in India I am a very traditional Indian with traditional Indian views and beliefs.

I am shy if I don't know you, but once I get to know you, I can talk forever about whatever. I'm also random at a lot of times. (My favorite random question: What spells can you cast with markers? ;])

People tell me I'm smart. I doubt it. I don't think I am.

I'm honest, kind, and helpful. I hate to hurt anybody, but don't mind telling you the truth as it is. Also, I'm very very sensitive. I cry over the smallest things. (I really do, so watch what you say please! :])

I'm also hard working. Once I set my mind on something, I'll do it no matter what. Even if I don't like it, I'll do it. For now, I have only two life goals. Once they're completed...​I'll make some new ones. Hehe.

I keep promises, no matter how hard. Of course, they have to be reasonable. And appropiate! ;] Hehe. (And I always try my best to do so. But sometimes things just don't work out, what can we do?)

I can speak several different languages, but the ones I can speak fluently are Hindi, English, and Spanish. I understand Punjabi and Gujarati perfectly too, speaking is out of habit for me now. And I don't want to learn any more languages, I'm not a big fan of them anyways.

I'm a tomboy. I am not a girly girl. I am not into fashion, the latest style, dressing up, or "lookin​g my best". Like me for who I am or go find someone else - and anyway, its your loss, not mine. ;]

Oh, and, believe it or not, I am completely in love with video games. They're amazing, haha. I know, "You're​ a...girl!"​ Maple Story, Gunbound, Final Fantasy, Harry Potter, Unfortunate Events, or Animal Crossing anyone? (: Talk to me about video games, I enjoy them. Haha. Although the latest video games I don't know much about, but I have played games on every gaming system out there from Nintendo 64 to Gameboy Color to Ninetendo DS to the Wii. PC and online games are also cool. :D It's a different story that I don't get much time to play them anymore, but still an obsession of mines.

My favorite author is Salman Rushdie! I love his writing, and my goal is to read all his novels. My favorite book and movie is the Namesake. I love it a lot. Vikram Seth is another author who's writing style I am beginning to fall in love with, after reading his 1500 page novel, "A Suitable Boy". My favorite genre though is historical fiction.

You should also know I am completely in love with India and everything about/from India. :) I'm Hindu, although not a very strict one, haha. I do follow the customs and stuff, just living in America has made me modify some. Like, visiting a temple? Yeah, not so much - very rarely nowadays. However, I am not American. Don't call me an American. That's one of my pet peeves.

I love writing short stories. I have written MANY. Though, only shared one with the world outside my safe little room. :) Also, I love reading and writing poetry. It's beautiful. ^^

I'm not fake. Whatever I write here is true, don't expect someone completely different. I don't care about how I look and neither should anyone else. It's what's on the inside that counts!

I love going to school. It's a hobby, for me at least. Surprised? What can I say - I'm different. :]

And if you can still stick with me even after I get mad at you, I admire you, because I admit that isn't easy. <3

I would love to become friends with anyone 21 or younger, boy or girl. :) Emphasis on "friends"​. ^^; [*Feel free to say hi if you're older than 21 -- I just don't want creeps, haha.*]

But seriously, note down that emphasis on "friends"​, got it? kthxbye.

Also, looking for people who want a true and serious friendship. So, if you're one of those people who replies to a message maybe once in a month or two, please don't even bother.

Writing is my life. It helps me keep the sanity installed and the insanity away. Simply put, that is. It is a much more complex part of my life, though. :)

Reading is amazing. I love losing myself in these new worlds of printed lines. Any chance I have, I'm reading. At school, during lunch, I'll be that girl sitting on a bench in some corner alone, with my headphones in my ear and the music blasting, my PB&J sandwich in my hand, my orange juice by my side, and a novel in my hand. :)
At the book store, I sit down and flip through as many books as I can.
At home, I have my book with me everywhere. Whether its washing dishes or vacumming - I'm reading to pass the time. ^^

Poetry is also something I like. :)

Um, I also love photography and filming. I've been taking media related things since I was in the fifth grade, but still - they're only hobbies, not something I want a profession in.

Uhh...school​! Lol. :D

Mostly Hindi, but I'm willing to try different types anytime. Although Simple Plan, Lincoln Park, Cascada, Good Charlotte, and The Rasmus are some I would recommend! :)

Once again, mostly Hindi films. Of course, I'm willing to try any. Hm, although I would totally reccommend "A Walk to Remember"​, its a sweet movie. Oh, and if you don't mind black and white films, my favorite is "A Wonderful Life". :D

I don't watch TV, as unbelievable​ as that might sound. School work always comes first for me. :) I know what you're thinking, "NERD!"​ Haha, no, I do have my fun, when I know I can. But I'm proud to be a nerd too (and it can be fun to be a nerd), so whatever. ;]
