52-yo married guy in Florida, just here to exchange ideas and see what the rest of the world is like.  I don't get to travel as much as I used to so it's nice to hear opinions and outlooks from other parts of the world.

Presently in grad school for library and information science.  Once I finish, I'll be a librarian...​'haunting the stacks,' as it were, so that explains the nick.

Friendly, intelligent conversation​.  That's it.  Tell me about your day, talk about what gripes you, what excites you, what sport you watch, what politician really pisses you off or makes you happy, where you're going in life and what you expect to find.  I'm a good listener and I can turn a wicked phrase now and then, so trade verbal jousts with me and I think you'll enjoy it.  All I ask is proper grammar, spelling, and syntax...I'm​ kind of a nazi that way, and I bite if you don't meet the standard.

Oh...and I don't want to hear about how we'll be just perfect for each other, etc., especially you idiots in Ghana and Senegal and the Ivory Coast...all those third-world shitholes that are full of scammers.  Ersatz "American"​ Russians, too; this particularly​ applies to all the Svetlanas and Olgas and all the others out there who think I'm 'interesting​' just by reading my profile and who want to give me their e-mail (and get mine) because they 'can't stay on this site long' or some other bullshit story like that.  If you're going to come at me with these patent lies, consider giving me a break and moving on to pester someone with more time and less discretion.  I don't suffer fools like you very well.  Also...if you have a blank profile, you have no credibility.​  Get lost.  If you're a scammer, I'll flood your profile with bad information,​ and trust me, it always works.

And I'm generally not interested in talking to anyone below the age of 25 or so.  Sorry, but it's been my experience that those persons (rampant idealism notwithstand​ing) are not fully formed, and tend to run away with themselves a bit too much for me.  It's my opinion; if you can change it, feel free, but there it is.  I want to talk to people of my own age.

Oh yes.  People who send friend requests without talking to me first are schlubs and should be gassed for my amusement.
