About Me:
Hello everyone, my name is Kayla Snyder I was born in California, raised there and also Hawaii before I moved here to Oklahoma 7 years ago. My birth date is the 10th of June and I am 17 years old. Anything I do/believe, it is with a passion. I love music, to read, write, cook, and many other things. I am homeschooled and have been fore the majority of my life [one and a half years were spent at a Lutheran school] I am going to graduate this next school year, and I plan on attending a culinary school after that. I am somewhat of a spontaneous person. If someone were to ask if I wanted to go on a road trip tomorrow, I would say yes in a heartbeat. I love rain, and thunderstorms. I think the demonstration of power enthralls me. I believe in intelligent design, more plainly put I believe in God/devotion to God and I will fight that to the end. If I don’t stand for something I will fall for anything and that is my stance. I'm very perky… people say I have a lot of personality. I'm rather sweet tempered and it takes a lot to make me mad. As far as my style goes, I’m not at all limited. I don’t buy the most expensive clothes to look cool and I don’t buy the cheapest ones because it costs less. I wear what I want, when I want, whether or not it is “In”. Personally I think the fashion industry is screwed up… therefore I like my style to be my own. And for the record, I REFUSE to wear poufy sleeves. I love doing outdoorsy things, anything from football to walks in the rain. I’m on a volleyball team, and I enjoy that thoroughly. I work at a grocery store, started off as a cashier, but recently have transferred to the scanning department. I change all the prices and do all the bookwork. We have a team of 6 people doing this, and I find it a lot of fun. I love learning languages, I know a little Spanish, a lot of French and English of course. Well I think I’ll end here I’m sure very few people have actually gotten to the end of this. If you have I commend and applause you. Please feel free to drop me a line, I’d love to chat I’m sure.
Requests:
I love intelligent conversation, debate, even idle chit chat. Please keep it around my age. I really would like snail mail pen pals, and also ones to help me with my French.
Language Exchange Requests:
I know a little French and Spanish, but I fluently speak English.

Favorite Movies:
I love all sorts of movies, funny, happy, scary... but I'm always up for a good love story or tear jerker. (Jerking tears from me is not all that hard.)
Favorite TV Shows:
My family doesn't have television, but on the rare chances I do get to watch it, I like the cooking channel and what not to wear. I also love Numb3rs.
Favorite Books:
I idolize Dr. Seuss. He's amazing. I like any kind of fiction. Also I collect Literature textboks.
Favorite Quotes:
"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.” -Dr. Seuss

Yeah, I pretty much have given up on this site; that is why I didn't write back. Anddd I don't feel like writing anything right now either because I'm tired and doing school crap.... I'll need to get on that (writing) sooooon.
Oh, and "happy-late-birthday!" Sorry. Just read that on your profile! My birthday was the 11th of June and I'm 22 now.

:) I took the Algebra II Abeka book as well! It was a little too thorough. Our teacher even skipped whole sections! :)
But I'm sure you'll survive it.
Goodness, the storms have been horrible here! We have hail damage and large trees blown over.
Shawnee?! My horse trainer went there last weekend for a reining competition! Not sure how far it is from here.
:) Wow, California is so different.
So what are your summer plans?

Goooooood, friend got home from Germany and we did some stuff today (Don't know if I told you that already). Hmm, sounds good. I had a teriyaki ramen today where I had the privilege of sprinkling dehydrated meat and veggies over top, and afterworlds dumped a packet of salt and fat on it. NOT good, but it's energy.
:) I know Abeka. I had their Calculus/Trig books back in highschool.
My mom has a french friend that comes and visits, so he got me interested in it and introduced me to the Assimil book.
:) I'm sure you are further along in your studies than I am.
You surviving the storms? Wow we had hail last night that blew off some shingles and cracked the siding!

I've been studying for almost a year, but it has been independent study like you. I use the "assimil" books/cds.
What books do you use?
