My name is Kristel and I am from Belgium. I'm 37, married and have 2 wonderful kids of 4 and 8. I work part-time at a bookkeeping department.
 
I have been penpalling since I was 16. Wow, for 20 years already!! :). It is so great to receive personal mail in your mailbox. I love to chat about the daily things that happen in our lifes: good or bad, sad or happy. It is so good to share ideas with other women in the world and to find out that, even though we live so far away from eachother, we still have many things in common!! 
 
I also collect postcards which is my way to travel around the world. I enjoy baking and cooking too, and working in my little flowergarden​. 
 
Since joining this site, I got quite overwhelmed with messages and I found really good friends. So I decided not to take any more penpals at the moment. Unfortunatel​y I can't write to the whole world... :( Maybe occasionally​ I will accept one more. I hope you can understand!

I am looking for a few new penpals. But since I already had quite some negative experiences,​ I have some limits. I only want FEMALE snailmail penpals who like to exchange chatty letters. I don't expect a novel from you, but please no 2-liners where you ask about the weather (if you know what I mean). It doesn't matter where you come from. As long as you are a loyal friend and don't vanish off the earth after 2 letters. 
Please no short intro's, no e-mail penpals, no men, prisoners, nor asking for money or love. Those mails will be deleted immediately!​

I would like to have a few more FEMALE snailmail pals (sorry, no email pals). It doesn't matter where you come from, as long as you like to write chatty letters and write regularly. And that you don't stop writing after the second letter without any reason!!

You have to be prepared to write the first letter. I have written so many first letters to women who agreed to be penpals. And then never heard from them again. Please don't let me waste money if you aren't prepared to start a new friendship!

And don't ask me to return your stamps so that you can use them again, as I don't play that game. If you aren't prepared to buy a stamp, what does penpalling then mean to you??

I hope this doesn't sound too negative.But​ I have had so many negative experiences after writing for so long, that I am only looking for women who want to start a real friendship and know what penpalling means!!
