About Me:

Welcome

What is the colour of the day? How many tennis balls have you eaten already? Who would you like to throw a pie at? When was the last time you turned off your mobile, laid down in the grass and looked up at the clouds?

I like all sorts of questions. I don't really believe that there are wrong answers, there are just good and better ones.

I bet you remember most people you've shared tea and cookies with. The moment you share cookies and tea is the moment a memorable conversation is bound to happen.

Wasting time is the only luxury everyone can afford. Enjoy it!

Requests:

Cookies??

I'm looking for penpals. I would really like to have some snail mail penpals, e-mail however is also fine as long as you are able to write more than five sentences:) That's my goal too :p

I'm interested in everyone regardless of age, gender, orange eyes, or whatever else that sets you apart from the rest.

I'm a convicted axe murderer so I'm afraid that I, or my axe and chainsaw loving friends, can't vouch for you if you want a visa. However, scammers, mail order brides or perverts are welcome to share their message. I'm pretty lonely in my isolation cell and willing to convert to any religion as long as it gets me out of here.

Language Exchange Requests:

Be aware that if you start learning Dutch you might turn orange. It starts slowly but erupts into this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_46Igq1Wok&feature=related you should watch the entire video. Oh and women are not exempted! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZhzzXTEGqs&feature=related

Nu ben je bekend met het risico van Nederlands leren :) Dus als je het niet erg vindt om ook (een beetje) oranje te worden, dan help ik je graag verder!

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

philosophy in a very broad sense, spending time with friends, hiking, fitness, cloudwatching, fine dining, robbing a banks, whiskey, (world)politics, strawberries,

and quite a lot more.

Favorite Music:

Favorite Movies:

very beautiful but also very sad

Favorite Books:

Robert Graves is sometimes boring yet delightful to read

Favorite Quotes:

Underneath one of my favourite poems, a little sad, maybe slightly erotic and most definitely very beautiful.

Marceline Desbordes-Valmore (1786-1859):

Les Roses de Sa’adi

J’ai voulu ce matin te rapporter des roses;

It was hard to find a nice online English translation. I found this, unknown author:

The Roses of Saadi

I wanted to bring you roses this morning;
but I wrapped so many in my tightened sash
that the knots, too tight, could not hold them all.

The knots broke. The roses flew away
in the wind, and vanished into the sea.
They followed the water and never came back.

They turned the waves red, as if on fire.
Tonight they’ve left my dress still fragrant…
Come and savor their scented memory.

....

By Willem Barnard:

Zolang gij nog onzichtbaar zijt,
een zon diep in de nacht,
roep ik uw nadering reeds uit
omdat ik U verwacht.

My own translation (that obviously doesn't do justice to the beauty of the original words):

For as long as you are out of sight,
a sun far into the night,
will I proclaim your coming
because I expect you.

you TAKE THE PLUG OUT OF THE SOCKET. or do they not have those in San Marino? haha, gold. precisely!

it depends on my mood. some days I pay them, some days they pay me. IN FOOT RUBS AND FRUIT ROLL-UPS. but your cleaning lady has mine beat.

the second indoor swimming pool! was that the one with the platinum diving board! shame about that, then. they do get quite angry. I believe they have some kind of mafia going on...? nothing a little group therapy wouldn't solve (and alcohol).

Ricky: 0111000 0111 00011 </3 </3 </3 01001 3!

that 3 is just to irk him. HA

Of course I did, he's one of those to show your kids and tell them not to eat cookies like this ;-).
But honestly, I'm the first to tell you about cookie monster? Maybe I've seen too many episodes of sesame street. I've got to ask my parents. :-/

Um.  Actually, I think he's more of a cross between an orange Honker, Jessica Rabbit and Ted Bundy.  Have you seen the videos of him online?  Is any species safe?

*sing-along*
And ev'ry task you undertake
Becomes a piece of cake (or cookie???? :-))
A lark! A spree! It's very clear to see that

A Spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
The medicine go down-wown
The medicine go down
Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
In a most delightful way.....

Greetings from a land not-far-away, wishing you a nice evening
