I think Murcia is even hotter than Valencia, so if you have felt that heat, congrats, you're able to face the Spanish summer.

And you're right, you can find beautiful forests in the north of Spain, but anywhere else you will find brown landscapes because the hot temperatures. Galicia is a great place because it mix the green and beautiful forests with awesome beaches, but the water is too cold, so if it comes to enjoy the sea, you choice should be the Mediterranean Sea.

Lucky you! You just experienced 12 hours... Is not easy to face a long summer with several days in a row over 35 degrees till October.
