About Me:

i am all about the beautiful things in everyday life and the music accompanying them. i often wish i could stop thinking. and from time to time i'd like to have a break from being what i am.
in these moments, i just go drown in melodies, colours and words or whatever can take my mind out of this world only to bring it back with new eyes. freedom is one way to look at things.
i like standing in the middle of a road and staring at the stars. i like walking through the rain, silently singing along to the music in my head. i like spending time with the trees and my ipod. i like falling asleep while reading. i like watching people and wondering what it means to be them.

do drop me a line and tell me what your world looks like, i am always curious to see :D

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

photography, art, music, singing, writing, various instruments, watching football..... are the major components of my life.

Favorite Music:

beirut. beirutbeirutbeirut. oh the beauties of sunday smiles and magic cities, zach condon is just too close to perfection to be true. beirut's music just takes me out of this world, out to look at better places, and i love it for that.

--
music that's shining with truth and honesty. that's telling stories. that changes your life.
im not really bound to any genres, there are a few that tell me nothing but there are more that touch me.

basically, i like music that falls out of the framework, thats out of the ordinary and that's a class of its own, adding romance and life to the dullness of the everyday world.
to me, that is mostly
kaizers orchestra
yann tiersen
beirut
patrick wolf
kent
get cape. wear cape. fly.
noah and the whale

though i do like loads and loads and loads of other bands and musicians and genres etc etc as well. there's just no way of defining a taste in music without losing most of it.

Favorite Books:

anything by chuck palahniuk. the english patient. the picture of dorian gray. im westen nichts neues (all quiet on the western front).

Favorite Quotes:

life isnt nearly as sacred as the appreciation of passion.

Yeah, I had a great one :) Turning 20 is no more special than say, 19 or 18, it's 21 that Americans really celebrate. But overall it was just a great day.

And it is indeed a problem here, there's a brain drain on lots of sectors that not even most Americans see coming. The baby boomer generation (the unusually larger percentage of American births after the second world war) is coming to retirement, and there's not enough educated youth to fill in the gaps. Something like in a decade there will be 55% less workers in all federal, medical, and educational jobs with at least a 4-year degree. So our problems are not yet here, but undeniably on the way.

I'm glad you found that internship! Have you found a place to stay?

What sort of gigs would you want to go to that you couldn't afford?

Reminds me of that it's soon christmas and I will soon be broke to.. I love giving people present but I hate paying for them -_-

Yea. It's always good to be back at home. But if you're like me, after a few weeks you want to go back :D Especially in months like November. It's like the worst month. Really bad weather. It's cold and it's very dark. It's also the most hectic mounth at school and there is nothing to looking forward to. But December is nice! And oh I can't wait to it's 2009! New year is one of the best days. It's the day of hapiness, memories, hope and new facilities.

We just made clothes out of paper at school. My dress is only made out of toilet paper. Pretty cool, huh? :D You can actually wear it! Now we started making christmas cards. It's a way to early, I know, but it's a christmas card competition, so they have to be finnished a few weeks before christmas :P I love burnings stuff! But I really suck at making fire in the furnace :P

The reason why I want to learn French is that it's a beautiful language, it's useful, especially because I think I'll travel a lot in France. And I'm going there next summer when I'm doing my interrail trip :D

Haha, well I guess we have to be happy to have "fans". Yeah, I hold on to those old nice memories - right now I hope we qualify for World Cup, but it doesn't look good.

Awesome, that's quite a bit of travelling! Which country did you enjoy the most? I don't know where I'd like to go, but I haven't been outside of Europe, so it'd be nice to see the other continents.
