If you want to learn more words maybe you'd like to read a bit about anki and other software/memorization methods like it. I'm using it for the japanese and it's a really good aid for the repetitive tasks of learning kanji and new words. For a spaniard french, italian and portuguese are quite easy.

I was thinking about learning a fourth language mostly to give me some work mobility, and I thought something slavic would be cool. Poland and czech republic seem comfortable, but not their languages. Is slovakian mostly the same as czech and just called differently because of historical/political reasons? Is it hard for you to learn english if your mother tongue is czech?
