I would call you one of those "beautiful people of America", I know there's room for people like that in your country, that's why I'm pro-America, people like Carly simon, Carole King, Janis Joplin and James Taylor, to quote just a few. Those people are reason enough for America to lead the world, that is, if their value is indeed recognized. I'd be honored to be friends with people like that, ever! They mean hope for the world.

I think I get what you mean with the first sentence, it sounds nice but to be philosophical, it needs more than just poetry. To be free, you need to have the ability to be exactly who you are. The difference between your version and mine is that my version also gives the person the freedom to be someone else when the person, who is who he is, makes the free decision to play somebody else. Otherwise, actors would never be free people ;)
Anyways, too much to do these days to have lengthy philosophical discussions. But if you like films, series about metaphysical questions that make you think. You should definately not ignore the the world of Japanese animation. There are a lot of pearls in there. Especially from the "cyberpunk" era of animes (from somewhere in the 80s till about the end of the last millennium
