My parents were grown up as russian people, so all the latvian culture I've got came from my surrounding (friends, teachers and a people around).
My move to Latvia also wasn't fast, first two years we were just riding between the two places all the time :) And it was also quite easy because in the country there are a lot of russians (even in the shops I can easily speak russian and mostly I will be fully understood), so I haven't got a lot of nostalgia or problems of forgetting my first language :)
