About Me:
How to define ones self? Well, I've lived in Texas for most of my life. I'm a writer/photographer that also works in marketing for a boutique firm. I love to travel.
I think that it is not necessary for your truest friends to be by your side always... but the true test of loving is if they always come back.
I am a firm believer that you have to make your life happen.
I adore my friends, my family and my friends who I think of as family.
I love beauty (in a Worhol-ian sense), being that I am fascinated by finding depth in what most find shallow.
I hate that on social networking sites, women have to specify they are not looking for romance or love because too often, men cannot learn to be socially respectful.... I apologize for all men.
That said, since love has so many different faces, I believe everyone here is looking for some kind of love, even if only to love yourself.
(Mexico City)
VI.
I have left you
I spent so much time in your embrace
I felt safe even though so many told me
I was in danger
Now that I am looking down at you
miles in the sky
I can see all of you
and I don’t know if I ever knew you
there was so much you kept hidden
I can’t imagine why you couldn’t trust me enough
I see all of you now
the memory of you
consumes me.

Requests:
I am looking for inspiration. I want to find people who love to write, letters, poems, stories, text messages. I'm looking for people to inspire me to write, and hopefully I can do the same in return. I am less interested in someone telling me I'm attractive, and more interested in a poetic reason why. I don't care if you are across the world or next door; my only request is that you take pride in your letters, as I do.
As an example of what I'm looking for, or at least what you will get if you choose to write me, I will write a letter to You, all of you who somehow end up reading these words. Please feel free to venture a response:
To You,
The grass feels greener on my little plot of earth, a spot by the Houston Bayou that I currently inhabit with a line-less journal and blue pen. The bayou runs to Downtown then out for miles, with two green sloping fields along either side. I watch the gentle curve of the water, deep and blue, and draw it on my paper, pretending my pen strokes are water for a moment and that each word I write after it is written in the flowing ink of a river: always changing, yet the same.
People are jogging on the trails by the water's edge. I understand why they do so today: because of global warming, it's much cooler now, a beautiful spring day. But I know these same people will be running in the middle of our scorching summer, and I wonder why they choose to do so, what are they running from? Or maybe I've gotten it wrong, and they continue forward through the thick humid air because they are running to something, or someone, much more comfortable and loving than a Texas summer afternoon.
I would love a story from You and your place in the world. I look forward to you letter.
