In response to one of your older comments, I'm from the Southwest of the US, in Arizona.  I live in Tucson, which is about three hours at most from the border between here and Mexico, so it can get really really hot.  However, unlike China, it's really dry.  The humidity was rough to get used to in China, but I actually  miss it now.  My skin's very dry :[

It's very dry, and it's somewhat of a desert here, but we have all sorts of desert plants and flowers so it's surprisingly​ very colorful for a desert.  We get a lot of rain this time of year because of the monsoons, and I like the rain.

however.. I really prefer winter :D
