I want to meet people who are interested in getting out and doing, making mistakes, taking chances, learning, and charging ahead again. First and foremost - I'd like to make some new friends! My old friends are great but many of them have moved away and I need to make acquaintance​s that are into doing things. I'm a little goofy at times, I'm smart, funny, and fun. I can generally fix anything. As far as dating goes: I know how to treat the woman I'm with - whether it's opening the car door or just generally making sure that her life goes a lot smoother with me in it. I'll let her be herself (an independent woman is very sexy) but try not to miss my cue when it's time to do what I can to make things a little easier. I'm affectionate​ and really enjoy indulging in romantic whims. I like to do a lot of different things. I love tennis and enjoy struggling with golf. I'll take a day of hiking, biking, surfing (I stink) kayaking, climbing, or anything else that's active, any time. I love to be outside and really feel grounded when I'm near/in/on the water. I've always liked an active lifestyle and right now I'm really into wake boarding. I'm responsible.​ I'm very easy going and pretty easy to get along with. I try to make it a point not to sweat the small stuff. I'm mature and know myself very well. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong, apologizing,​ and usually laughing at myself about it. I think knowing myself allows me to see in others the traits that are important to me. I constantly see the irony in things and find it fascinating.​ I don't think it comes across the way I've written this profile but I would also say that I'm very funny. If you like a good belly laugh - I'm your guy (I'll admit though - this presupposes that your sense of humor aligns with mine - sarcastic, ironic, and a little off some times)! I'd like to meet a really smart, assertive, funny, fun, confident, gracious, graceful, athletic to some degree, sweet (to some degree) woman that is attractive to me. A woman that knows herself and will be honest with both of us. I believe in romance. I believe in love that lasts forever and wanting to talk to your partner every day without exception. I believe in the energy that can exist between lovers that are so well suited that you'd know they were a couple if you met them individually​ at a party and you'd never seen them together. There are some people that just 'glide' together.
