Hi Christina. Sorry for the late response, I've been a bit busy lately.

Oh, I'm confident enough, I just don't like a lot of people. XD I just don't agree with other people's ideas, and I don't want to associate with certain types of people, so I don't work well in most social settings.

I've never actually seen Doctor Who. I mean, I watch a lot of TV, but I've simply never seen that show. Of course, most of the shows I watch are American; I think I've only seen two that are British (The Office and Extras).

I might well check it out. ;)

Yes, EST is NY time and PST is LA time, basically.

I'm sorry you're not enjoying LA. :S That's no fun to go to a new country and have to deal with other people's problems where you're staying. I hope you you get a better host family.

Honestly, I don't think we're quite that close, Christina. That sort of thing takes more time to develop. I am glad to hear from you, and I really hope the rest of your time in LA isn't as bad as what you've told me so far.

Let me know how things go or have gone.

Thanks, Christina. Which city are you in right now that's so cold? It doesn't sound fun at all. It's actually been relatively warm here. I mean, it's not actually warm, but it's warmer than you would expect for early January.

School started back up for me yesterday, and I'm not sure how well I'm going to enjoy this quarter. I'm not suited for some of the classes, and I'm not the biggest fan of most of my classmates, which probably doesn't help things. XD

I actually live in Oregon. I've only been here for about two years now. I've lived in quite a lot of different states throughout my life.
What about you, where all have you visited or lived throughout your life?

Thanks, Christina. You got all A's? That's wonderful! :D I'm glad all your hard work paid off.

I do hope you enjoy LA. What are you planning on doing while you're there? Just try to keep to the good parts of town. :)

It is unfortunate, but I'm sure we'll eventually work something out. If you're so intent on eventually moving to the States, then it seems like we'd probably have to meet at some point, wouldn't we?

Take care.

Hi.

How do you think you did on your exams? I got A's in all of my classes except journalism, but I knew that was going to be bad by about halfway through the course.

How long are you going to be on your vacation? Mine, as it turns out, is almost over. I got back to school on the 4th, I think. Why are you going to LA? If I've asked that before, my apologies. My memory isn't the best. It might be fun to meet up at some point, but there's no way I could make it to LA. XD It's too far for me. I have been to LA before, but it was years ago. I stayed at a hotel there one Christmas and went to Disneyland every day. That was a great time... I'd love to go back there some day.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy Christmas. I did, somewhat surprisingly. My family members were all very civil to each other (for a change), and I was able to forget how depressed I was myself at being more or less alone in this city.

I used to watch that movie when I was little, but I haven't seen it in years.

I'm not familiar with Boxing day. It just sounds like "Christmas" to me. If it's the same thing, then maybe that's just a British term for it or something.

Good to hear from you again. :)

That's kind of cool how cultural practices diffuse like that. Even though South Korea isn't predominantly Christian (or European pagan, for that matter), it has picked up on Christmas.

Of course I believed in Santa Claus when I was a kid. On Christmas day I just spend time with my family. I help my father prepare Christmas dinner and we watch a few Christmas shows. It's fairly relaxed and laid-back.

Good luck on your final exam. My quarterly exams are coming up as well. I'll miss you, too.

Talk to you later.

It's okay, I'm just glad to be of help.

I'm afraid I haven't seen Monk. I've recently been watching old episodes of Quantum Leap. Dean Stockwell plays a character named Al in it, and I think Dean Stockwell is a great actor.

What temperature is it out in Korea? I used to live up in the Rocky Mountains, and the winters up there could get maybe 10 or 20 degrees below freezing. Try to stay inside and keep warm, at any rate.

I haven't been to many major cities at Christmas, but I was told by my mom that Chicago looked incredible around that time. Of course, Chicago isn't a very warm city either. New York is probably also really cool around Christmastime. Does South Korea do much for Christmas or other winter holidays?

Rest well and take care.
