Hi. I'm American (of Chinese descent). I live and work in Washington, DC but I'm originally from New York City. I do web development and marketing for a university and I'm also a graduate student in museum studies. I hope to work in a cool museum someday! I have an idealistic, spiritual streak and I like artsy creative activities and creative people!  I'd like to find some interesting penpals that I can write to regularly. I tend to be shy in person with strangers so getting to know people via writing suits me well :-)

I like the idea of being able to make friends with someone interesting from far away (or near). Unfortunatel​y I don't get to travel often so I'm hoping penpalling will be a interesting way for me to make some friends from interesting places.

I'd like to make a select few snailmail (preferred) or email penpals that I can get to know well. I'm particularly​ interested in making new friends from Europe, but others are also welcome.

I hope to befriend someone creative and fairly normal who can share their interests with me or introduce me to an interesting new culture.

I like all things visual arts related. I'm obsessed with museums (i'm a grad student in museum studies)! I like foreign movies, photography and drawing. I still like manga and anime. I'm buddhist so I'm interested in buddhism and learning about other faiths. I like being an urban pedestrian and also riding my bike. I tend to read history and non-fiction books. I want to learn about new cultures and places. I like trying tasty new foods, and meeting interesting,​ open-minded people.
