Actually there are many different ethnic people like Kurds, Arabs, Laz peoples, Zazas and other ethnic people. But I am a purge Turk, yeah. My fathers were Turcomans. They are the Turks who belong to the Oguz Klan, the Turks who coming from Middle Asia to Anatolia. :)

Democracy is better choice than other systems. You're right about that but they can prevent that weakness with good edication and consciousness-raising.

I think, that can happen if they eliminate 'islamic essensial' from them. That happened too in my country. My country is democracy (liberal) political. We have Islamic party like Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS), Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP), Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN), etc. However they ( the islamist) lost when they lost from Islam. they lost the direction and like that. I think democracy is bad too. Do you think if the baddest person can be leader just because he have much supporter?. I am often not vote because I am don't know who are they is long term..
